On 17 October 2014 in Istanbul within the framework of the General Assembly of IFOAM presentations of countries and cities-candidates to host the 19th World Organic Congress IFOAM 2017 were held.
According to the results of the vote of all the present members of the Association the next host city for the 19th World Organic Congress IFOAM 2017 is Delhi (India). We are happy to congratulate our colleagues from India with victory and wish them every success in the preparation and conduct of IFOAM 2017!
The final shortlist included four cities: Moscow (Russia), Paraná (Brazil), Delhi (India), Chengdu (China). The Moscow team united domestic organic industry and events industry: "Eco-life", Congress and exhibition Bureau of Moscow, having initiated the participation in the bid, Russian manufacturer of organic products "Arivera" and PCO&DMC RESTEC EVENTS that has extensive experience in organizing large-scale events in Russia and abroad.
It should be noted that presentation, the concert and the gala dinner cooked by the brand-chef Stanislav Zhukov and chef Eugene Evseev of the restaurant O’Jules (Moscow) using the Russian organic products, were highly appreciated by all the participants.
The team is grateful for the support of the National organic Union, the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of the organic industry - companies "Agrant" and "Organic".
