January 22 PetroCongress Congress Centre in St. Petersburg hosted an official opening ceremony of the 4th edition of Europe+Asia Event Forum known as a one-of-a kind MICE-industry event.
In his welcome speech to Forum participants Sergey Zimin, Deputy Plenipotentionary of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District, noted that EFEA was the only world-renowned Russian event highlighting the issues of congress and exhibition business development.
"Today we witness an increased business activity among the industry experts. This activity is caused not only by the changing economic conditions in Russia and in the world, but also by the fact that market participants get more interested in development of the industry,” emphasised Mr. Zimin. “Today we possess a highly efficient tool allowing us to enhance economic activity within the country and abroad".
In his speech, Sergey Zimin read off an official greeting to Forum participants on behalf of Vladimir Bulavin, the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District, and presented letters of thanks to the President of RESTEC® Group Serguei Trofimov and Igor Bychkov, General Director of RESTEC Ural for significant contribution to development of the industry on behalf of the Governor of Yekaterinburg.
