At the 52th International ICCA Congress in Shanghai it was announced that St. Petersburg entered the short-list of candidate cities to host the ICCA Congress in 2017. The other two contenders are Prague (Czech Republic) and Gdansk (Poland). The final decision on the city-host will be made by the Association in the spring of 2014.
Annual ICCA Congress is one of the most significant international events in congress and exhibition industry. Each year it attracts more than 900 companies-members of the Association from all over the world: the leading event organizers, international hotel chains, airlines, travel agencies, convention bureaus, and many others take part in a key event in meetings industry.
